David Lawson

When I first came to Grace Place back in 1998, I immediately knew that this was the church for me.  I quickly began to serve Grace Place as a youth ministry volunteer where I had the opportunity to impact many young lives for Jesus.  This experience sparked a fire and passion to attend a Christian university and take youth ministry courses.  As time passed and my experience in youth ministry became greater, I knew I was called to full time ministry and more specifically, youth ministry.  In 1999 I became the youth intern for Grace Place.  I served in this position for two full semesters and loved every second of it.  Because of other ministry adventures I left Grace Place for a few years, but returned home in 2007 to again serve there.  I officially became the Student Pastor on February 3, 2008.

On a personal note, I met the love of my life, Kelsey, in February 2007 in the church lobby after a Grace Place service.  We are huge fans of the show “Lost” and love watching movies.  I'm a huge sports fan!  I love playing basketball, golf, and softball.  My favorite teams are the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies and Red Sox.
